While with cub Dewshine climbs to the top of a tree every morning. Scouter and Berrybuzz warn her, but the cub will be part Glider. They both hope Winnowill won't come after it. It gets windy and Dewshine agrees to come down. She falls and hangs from a limb. Scouter grabs her and they climb down. The cub is coming but she doesn't want Leetah here. Nightfall comes and says Squirrelbane is dropping her cubs. Dewshine sends to her. She wants to have the cub with Skywise. He still doesn't believe they'll always be together and that he's the father in every way that matters. Scouter takes the cub as it's born. Nightfall tells Leetah at the holt. Nightfall seems sad. She and Redlance can't have a cub. She asks if there's something Leetah could do, as a healer. They'll speak later. The tribe gathers. The cub's soul name is a Wolfrider's. His tribe name is Windkin.
