Hidden Years # 1 "Wolfwood"
Lashpaw loses his challenge to Goldgrin, second chief. He's banished. Strongbow is upset. He was bonded too close. He goes off to find him. Elsewhere Lashpaw is attacked by a sick dog. He kills it but got bit. Soon, Strongbow finds the dog. He's out of sending range and Cutter worries humans will see him, exposing them all. Days later, Strongbow follows Lashpaw up a cliff. He catches a hawk but the wolf won't eat it. He sees Lashpaw has the foaming sickness. Strongbow knocks him out with a club and ties him to a sling. They climb through a storm. In the morning he evades humans and swims through a stream. Soon both of them are sick. Timmain appears and he ties Lashpaw to her. He sees demonic Wolfriders and attacks. Moonshade knocks him out. They get Maggoty to use fire to get him to sweat and injects elf and wolf with a potion. Lashpaw bullies his way to second chief, eyeing the chief. Cutter tells Strongbow not to get any ideas.
