"Liar's Dice"

|
Manufacturer: Milton Bradley
|
|
Number of Players: 2 to 6
|
|
Complexity: Very Low
|
|
Average Time: 15 - 30M

|
Synopsis: A dice game that involves a huge amount of bluffing. Basically, everyone
rolls a cup full of dice (6) and hides them from the other players. You
then wager the quantity of a specific die may be on the table (yours and
everyone else's put together). Play proceeds around the table with
everyone raising the stakes until someone calls another player's bluff. At
that time all the dice are revealed. If the bluffing player guessed
correctly, other players lose some of their dice. If the bluffing player
was wrong, he loses some of his dice. The last player to have dice is the
winner. A very fun, very noisy game. This was Germany's 1993 "Game of the Year".

Complexity: Very Low

Average Time: 10 - 15M

Synopsis: An excellent two player game. You and your opponent take turns playing and
drawing cards. The cards are numbered from 1 to 10 in 5 different colors, each representing a different
adventure in a "lost city". On your turn you can either discard or play a numbered card on one of your
adventures. Of course, you can only play them in ascending order. When the cards are all gone, you add up
the numbers in each color, subtract 20 and that's your score. Sounds simple, right? Well, your opponent
is also trying to get those same cards making it very difficult for you to come away with a positive score.
Multiplier cards (Investors) add to the dilemma. A very simple game in it's rules, but first time players
almost always walk away with a negative score. Warning: this game is highly addictive!

Synopsis: The King is Dead! The Princes (players) are attempting to divide the kingdom up
to their advantage. You have Knights and castle walls, gold, and political intrigue at your disposal. However,
you must bid against other players to gain these items. Kingdoms are built by walling them in and expanded by
moving walls out into neighboring kingdoms. If you can wall in cities and silver mines that are on the board,
then your land is that much more valuable. This is one of the most overlooked and underrated games ever to come
from Germany. A truly captivating game.

Manufacturer: Atlas Games
|
|
Number of Players: 2 to 4
|
|
Complexity: Medium
|
|
Average Time: 20M - 30M

|
Synopsis: A very dark, tongue-in-cheek card game about street
fighting. Players try to injure each other, knocking their opponents unconscious
before the same is done to them. Cards include such things as "Poke in the
Eye","Headbutt" and "Humiliation". We make this game
more fun by taunting each other and describing the action as we play cards. A
really fun game, but not one you want to play with the kids. Be sure to check
out the photography on each card, it is outstanding in a disturbing sort of way.
