What is a B&P?

There are some great sites that probably explain this better than me, but here's my explanation. First, why would you need a B&P, or blanks and postage trade? Well, you have few or no boots to trade. Maybe you have no burner or you do but have nothing to trade and need a base to begin to trade from. B&P means boots and postage. What you do is obtain blank CDRs of good quality for the concerts you want. Say it is two concerts at two discs each, meaning four discs altogether. So you get your four discs, place each of them in paper or plastic sleeves and then put them in a padded envelope. If you don't have the sleeves, wrap each in a piece of paper. Place your name and address on this padded envelope. If you want numerous burns, PLEASE THROW IN SOME EXTRA CDs in. Some are duds and I end up using my own discs. Take it to the post office and have postage placed on it that will get it from whoever is doing your burning back to you. Make sure the post office puts actual postage stamps on envelope. Post office once placed sticker on a package, but that is good for that day only, as if it is being mailed immediately. I got hassled while trying to mail once, so regular postage is the best. Take that padded, self-addressed, fully stamped envelope with the discs inside and place in a larger envelope. Put the address of whoever is doing the burning on the larger envelope, place the padded envelope inside and mail it to whoever is doing the B&P. I like this because I get the package, open the big envelope and there is the padded envelope with the blank CDs ready to be burned. I burn the concerts for you, seal the padded envelope with your address on it and take it back to post office and send it back to you. I help you out, you get nice concerts at a very low price. For the most part, don't send jewel cases. They are heavy and can break in transit. If you are doing a B&P with me, let me know if you don't mind if I burn them ahead of time if I have the time, using my disks. When your package comes, I place already burned discs in your envelope and keep the blanks you sent. This makes turnaround faster. This isn't always a possibility but may be an option. This means use decent discs like Fuji or Maxell or Sony. I don't even mind Memorex. Just not some off-brand. My computer doesn't like the off-brand junk you can see through. I get errors and end up using my own discs and throwing darts at your picture. If you want to do something besides straight B&P, let me know, like 2 for 1 discs or something. Usually B&P is easiest, most cost effective for all involved when dealing with people in the United States. One other important thing, give me or whoever is doing your B&Ping a break and include a note in the package of who you are and what you want burned. Include your e-mail address. Don't assume you are the only person we are doing the B&P for and remember exactly what you want from an e-mail correspondence. Adding the e-mail address helps if we have a question. It isn't alway easy to guess Chauncy Eberheart, your real name, is fastwithchicks@hotmail.com,.

I no longer accept International Reply Coupons. The post office never knows what to do with them, they aren't worth as much in U.S. as you pay for them and nobody ever sends enough so I must fill gap. If you send IRCs I will just keep discs. Throw a $5 or $10 bill tucked inside envelope instead if you are outside U.S. Much easier and probably cheaper. If you feel uncomfortable, maybe you can do B and P elsewhere. Eight CDs shipped to Europe recently cost $5.60 if that helps.
