Black History Month Web Quest |

|
| Our focus this year for Social Studies will be Ohio History. Grades are based on class work, Ohio History Notebook, State Folder, Tests and Projects. Tests over the material in the book are given about every 2-3 weeks. A study sheet is given out several days before to aid in study time and information in the Ohio History Notebook will be an important study aid. Please see the Ohio History Notebook requirements in the notebook for more information. |

State Folder Information
NOTICE.....Folders may be taken home to be worked on, but MUST be at school on the day we will be working on them in class. Please watch the Lesson Aims so that you will know when we are scheduled to work on the folders.
Map Instructions
Keep all the maps in the folder as soon as they are passed out to you. If you find you do not have one, check the book shelf for extra papers. If there is not a copy for the state you need, you will have to draw it on your own paper.
Region maps - Color each state in the region a different color. Watch to make sure that you have the correct border for each state.
State maps - Color the state. Make sure that you color only that state. Watch your borders. Fill in the information on the back of each state using your Social Studies book, encyclopedia, state books or any other source you can find, including the internet at www.50states.com.
Other maps - Follow directions that are given in class.
All the maps are to be kept in this folder, even after we have finished the region. The folders will be collected periodically and at the end of the year for a final grade when I will look for all 50 states.
Folders will be graded for the following.....
Neatness (10 Points)
50 States with information and colored (50 Points)
Regional maps and others (10 Points)
Turned in on Time (15 Points)
Correct type of folder with all of the maps in the clasps (15 Points)
