Venue;
This event will be hosted by one of Cleveland area's premiere hobby stores; Strongsville HobbyTown USA. This will be a parking lot event open to public viewing. The main pit area will be a 48 foot long walkway covered by a 6 foot building overhang. If additional pit area is needed arrangements will be made. The arena will be covered by a quickup canopy. AC power will be limited to one or two 20 amp circuits, high current power tools may trip the circuit breaker. Please be mindful of this if you need to use such a tool. Plan on bring folding chairs for you and your team mates. Also, additional folding tables and extension cords would be useful. We are providing a value added attraction to our host in exchange for a no cost venue, so be a good sportsman, and a good showman. Please arrive at 8:00am with robots ready for check in. Schedule

Classes / Registration We will be running Flea
weight (150 gram), Ant weight (1 lb) and Beetle weight (3 lbs)
tournaments. All registration will be handled via Builder's
database. If your team is not registered, please do
so. It is quick, easy, and free.
You will need to fill out the ORC Safety Form for each robot attending. You will also need to fill out one Release Form for every team member requiring a pit pass. Please limit pit passes to only those who actually need to be in the pits. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by the parent or guardian who signed the release form. Fill out all forms and bring them with you to the event. Do not mail in forms! Registration fees will be $10 per Ant and Beetle weight robot. Flea weight registration fee will be $5 per bot. Fees will be payable at check in time. Cash and checks will be excepted. |
Arena
Fleas, Ants and Beetles will run in the ORC 4’ x 8’ arena. Halfway through a match two 14" x 14" pits will open. |

Rule set This event will comply with the 2008 RFL Extensible Technical Regulations. This rule set has been adapted for this competition per RFL guide lines. Read rules completely before registering a robot. |
Tournament Structure For weight classes with 8
or less robots will fight a round robin. Classes with 9 ore more
robots will fight a standard double elimination. Currently it is
expected that Ants and Beetles will exceed 8 bots. Fleas will
most likely will be much smaller and fight round robin.
Rumbles will be held if there is sufficient time and interest. |

Lunch
There are several
restaurant within walking distance of the venue. There will be no
catered lunch.
