The first 914...

At the first Akron Sports Car Club (ASCC) Autocross of the 1998 season next to the Wife's ex-autocrosser (Neon ACR)...

Sliding at one of the many ASCC events attended. We managed to capture a 1st place in APrepared, but the car didn't last long after.

My yellow pride and joy has suffered a severe case of rust cancer. The previous owner did an admirable job of hiding the rust, but, unfortunately, I didn't find out until after I broke the right rear suspension console. This lead to the following list of items needing replaced:

We have opted not not fix, but rather start with a clean project. The Yellow Beast will be missed as this was my first 914. However, it will live on...all of the go-fast good stuff can be taken off! The new owner has opted to add a rear tube frame and Chrysler 300M aluminum 6 cylinder to the little yellow beast. Watch out Modifieds!!!

I'd like to take this portion of the page to thank my two greatest sources of information while building this car over the years: All of the members of the PorscheList - possibly the greatest source of 914 information outside of Germany. Also my long-time competitor and fellow 914er Greg Panik.

I'd also like to thank my Wife, Teresa, who will one day be faster than me in my own car!!!
