Chinese Shar Pei was established in 1997. We purchased
our
first Pei after retiring from the world of American
Cocker
Spaniels. Setting out to only have 1 Shar Pei, we
quickly
became addicted to the high intelligence this
breed
has regarding housebreaking, and the loyalty
of
family. As puppies, this breed is almost "childlike",
so
we wanted our first pup to have a "Pei~mate"...from there
our
addiction grew. We began to research a certain look
and
certain lines, as well as examining pedigree not based
soley
on champion stock, but healthy stock that boasts
longevity
and correct standard.
We
here at Carlou specialize in dilutes, blues, flowereds in
miniature
and standard, horsecoat & brushcoat.
We
strive for A-1 conformation, health, disposition, and the
wrinkling
that you are looking for. We are known for our "over done"
puppies
as well as adults! Puppies in show, breeding
and
pet quality to select homes. Please check back with us whenever
possible,
or email/call to be on our "wish list", which we stress as
we
do not have many litters per year.
We
stress that there are no bad Shar Pei, but bad owners
that
do not ask questions. We stand behind our puppies
into
adulthood, and are always anxious to recieve
pictures
and updates on each and every one! We also
encourage
you to visit our home at any time, or ask questions
as
you see fit!
We feed,
exculsively, Pedigree/Eukanuba dry foods. Daily additives are
BilJac
frozen, plain yogurt. We also dabble in
the B.A.R.F.
diet as well!!!
