Most of my seeds were put into a 3 day organic enzyme drain care solution soak during the period between Christmas and New Years. Unfortunately I did not include the date that they came out of the soak on the label.

Temperatures are running around or below zero F at night. In the refrigerator the temperature is about 35 F. I assume this is why the germinations have slowed down (for most of the germination time period the temperature was about 50 F in the refrigerator).

OP and mixed pollen are not the same, OP means the bees did it, mixed pollen is usually pollen that I selected and used for about a week (with the pollen being refrigerated between uses and covered with Styrofoam while outside) for individual pollinations and then mixed with other "older pollen".

I only watered and re-watered with distilled water. I fully expected that this dish would have very early germinations (based on a literature report of a similar but different use of activated carbon). Well, I finely got tired of waiting and yesterday I watered the Petri dish with my standard distilled water - bromelain mixture. Today I got one germination?????????
