This is a George Vancouver X John Davis cross (my seedling #235). In the picture on the right, you can see all of the 2 inch by 2 inch plastic bags that I use to cover the pollinated hips. Crosses like this one are pretty sure to be hardy and disease resistant. They also almost always have a decent enough flower for a shrub rose.
