Mike's plastic army conversions for DBA

There is more and more becoming available in 1/72 plastics, but a big part of the fun is making do with what you can.  It is simple to collect an army of Macedonians, Hoplite Greeks, Persians, Romans, Gauls, and so on.  But creating an army from spare parts and conversion gives you the chance to give your collection more personality.  So far I have improvised:

Philistines
Early Hebrews
Classical Indians
Early Bedouins
Amorites
Sumerians
Lybians
Assyrians
Elamites

I've also done some conversions to flesh out partly-available armies, to wit:

Teutonic Kights and Knights of St. John
Samurai
Huns
Numidians
Persians
Spanish
Saracens
Conquistadors

Aztecs

Then, there are armies that are kinda-sorta-plausible as I've done them:

Mitanni
Mound-builders

I should point out that several other people have some nice conversions to show off, too:

Nick Grant has a great site, which directly inspired me the most.  Tony De Lyall's pioneering efforts in conversions are also featured here.  The site is now updated occasionally by "Young Stan" Walker.

Greg Kelleher also has some cool armies to show off.

Claudio Berni  has some conversions in progress and also sells some 1/72 terrain & stuff.

Over at the HaT "Everything Toy Soldiers" pages there are some great conversions as well.

Keith Finn has contributed some excellent-looking stuff for DBA -- check out the Elamites and Lydians.
