Ancient Lybians
Another common foe for the New Kingdom Egyptians, and occasional ally
to them and the Sea Peoples, were the Lybians.
Perhaps HaT or some other manufacturer will make them some day, but I
saw a great conversion by Claudio Berni and had to try my hand at
some. Like Claudio I used Zulus as the basis, but since I'm doing
just a DBA army, one box would suffice. I found Italieri's
reissue of the ESCI set at my local hobby shop and got going....
I decided to make an army with 5 x Ps, 1 x LCh (G), 3 x Bw and 3 x
Wb. This fits the time frame of my other Biblicals and makes an
interesting army. Great in the bad going (except the the
general), but a more multi-dimensional than the earlier list (11 x Ps +
1 LCh!).
The General was easy: a light chariot of the Egyptian type, so I did a
simple head swap with a Nexus Egyptian chariot...

Simple enough. For Psiloi, I chose to use javelin men, since the
Zulus come with spears and many are running...

For the archers, I had to convert the Zulus, and also used some
leftover Egyptians and Souix.

Lastly, for the Warbands I wanted to add the distinctive cloaks we see
in Egyptian art. Claudio used bits of handkerchief for his.
I used some thin paper (as I did on the Sumerians) but also tried
something else I'd heard about in DBLCH -- modelling clay. The
paper cloaks are on the right; the clay on the left. For swords,
I used Zulu knobkerries (the club head is the pommel) and some other
bits of plastic.
