Romeo's Page

Romeo was rescued from a backyard breeder with his sister. The breeder thought the pups were going to have "fluffy" coats.

As it turns out she was wrong!!

A costly loss for her but a major win for Romeo and Isabelle.

...

Shortly after their rescue the two pups had the opportunity to get together again. It was like they had never been apart.

January 14, 2004 was a horrible day here at Moistmugs. Our beloved little puppy had a very unfortunate accident while playing with his big brother Troy. The two boys were playing and Romeo had his eye displaced from the socket. A mad rush to the vet in an ice storm and 2 surgeries later Romi was all better. No worse for wear with only one eye. He has adjusted VERY well to life with one eye. The only difficulty he experiences is climbing stairs and seeing at dusk. It was a horrific accident and his brother felt TERRIBLE. Troy has always been protective of his baby brother. Especially during his recovery.

These next pix are of Romeo 2 days before the accident and then 4 weeks after. He is still Momma's beautiful babe.

It has been a real pleasure of mine to raise Romeo. He is a very wonderful mastiff. He can be aloof and yet very silly. He is always making us laugh. He is most definitely a cherished addition to Moistmugs.

Growing into a fine young mastiff!!

Romeo just keeps getting more and more handsome as he grows and matures. There is definetly never a dull moment here at Moistmugs if Romeo can help it!! Couple of new pix below. ENJOY!!!
