Reasons Why The Church Of Christ Is The New
Testament Church
(From Rays of Truth, Medina Church of Christ,
11/28/99)
- You can read about it in the New
Testament. (Rom. 16:16)
- It has no creed but the Bible and binds no
name on its members but Christ. (Acts 11:26; 1 Peter
4:16)
- It speaks where the Bible speaks, and is
silent where the Bible is silent. (1 Peter 4:11)
- It exalts Christ as the Only Head of the
Church. (Coloss. 1:18)
- Its acts of Worship are patterned strictly
after the New Testament examples. (Acts 2:42; 20:7;
Ephes. 5:19)
- The Church of Christ pleads for the Unity
of all believers in Christ. (1 Corin. 3:1-5; Ephes.
4:4-6)
- It is not a denomination, nor a group of
denominations, but the body of Christ.
(Coloss. 1:18)
- Its founder is Christ. (Matthew 16:18)
- Its aim - to save souls by leading them to
Christ by the Gospel; to teach godly living, and to
relieve the needs of needy saints. (Mark 16:15,16; 1
Corin. 15:1-4; Galat. 6:10)
- Its future - eternal glory with Christ. (1
Thess. 4:17)
