The Psalmist's Thought About God's Name

Just a brief reading of the Psalms will give one a good indication

of how the inspired writer felt about the name of God.

1. We Can Know the name of God. Psa. 9:10

2. We Can Rejoice in it. Psa. 20:5

3. We Can Remember it. Psa. 20:7

4. We Can Declare it. Psa. 22:22

5. God is due Glory because of it. Psa. 29:2

6. We Can Trust Him because of it. Psa. 33:21

7. His Name brings Victory. Psa. 44:5

8. We Can cause Others to Remember it. Psa. 45:17

9. We Can Wait upon His name. Psa. 52:9

10. We Can be Saved by it. Psa. 54:1

11. Man is to Fear His Name. Psa. 61:5

12. All Earth sings Praise to His Name. Psa. 66:4

13. Yet the Rebellious Blaspheme it. Psa. 74:10

14. When all is Done, His name will Endure. Psa. 72:17

15. We Are To Love Hearing His Name! Psa. 69:36

There is much more that the inspired writers have had to say about

the Name of God, but this should help us to understand how

Marvelous and Glorious His Name is. No doubt, a study of what

the Psalmist has to say about God's name would be a good study.

But the real question for us is: how do you feel about the name of

God? Do you reverence and honor it, or do your actions and words

Blaspheme it? Hopefully, you are ones who life and lips praise
