ASTOUNDING EVIDENCE

Disputers of the world are always with us. In the days of Paul
and the first century churches they were present. The apostle
called for the Corinthians to survey for the wise, the scribe
and the disputers among them, knowing they were not there. All
too often today the dissenter shrieks aloud, "No educated person
can accept the Bible as authentic!"...

In his book of evidences to support the Christian faith, "I Believe
Because ...", Batsell Barrett Baxter introduces a man by the name
of Dr. Hawley O. Taylor who suggests mathematical odds which
support the Bible as genuine. (This can be found on page 195, JW)
Dr. Taylor suggests the odds of but twenty-five (25) Old Testament
prophecies concerning the Messiah being fulfilled in one person are
conservatively affixed at one chance out of a thousand trillion
(1 /1,000,000,000,000,000)...

The mathematical equation to support the Bible as truth ... Taylor first
surmised that on average there was a no greater than one in five (1/5)
probability of one prophecy being fulfilled in a particular man. Accounting
only twenty-five cases of prophecy (n) the probability exceeds the human
ability to comprehend.... one out of one thousand trillion. [I couldn't even

The only conclusion? Jesus' coming was no accident. It was God's will....We
can compile lists of Biblical prophecies fulfilled in Jesus of Nazareth. Each
far exceeds a mere twenty-five (25) fulfilled prophecies....

Friend, believing the Bible as authentic is more reasonable than not in light
