Living But Never Dying

"I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth
in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And
whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
Believest thou this?" (John 11:25,26)

These words were spoken by Jesus to Martha on the occasion
of the death of her brother Lazarus. We know the power of
Jesus and what he was able to do: raise Lazarus from the
dead! (John 11:43,44)

For those of us who are Christians, these words have a
deeper meaning. We understand that there is a promise
from Jesus that if we live for Him, we shall never die.
When our physical body is clothed in it's earthly garment,
we have His guarantee that someday He will resurrect us
unto Eternal Life.

Baptism illustrates this idea of death, burial and
resurrection. (Romans 6:3-7) In recent weeks we have been
privileged to witness the courage of Chris, J.T. and
Brian as they have died to sin, been buried with Christ
and been resurrected to walk in a new life with Him.
The Promises of Christ are ever before us and are renewed
in these young men: that if they live a faithful life,
they will never die. The Power of God and His Son,
Jesus Christ, will reach beyond the fleshly vail and take
us into Eternal Life.

Let each of us re-dedicate our lives to Believing in
Christ and His power to save, that we might faithfully
live with Him now, and also in Eternity.   [JW]
