The REAL Y2K Problem

Every time we turn around there is another "Y2K" problem.
Someone is worried that this industry or that industry has not
adequately prepared for the possibility that their computers or
system may not function properly. If you have not been following
this for the last year or so, the fear is that since computers
use the last two digits of the current calendar year in many of
their mathematical functions, that when the year 2000 comes,
the computers will select the last two digits of the year (00)
and then will either lock-up or just use zero in any calculation.
What does this mean? Well, if it is true, then when using those
digits to calculate, say the interest on your savings account,
it'll multiply everything by zero which in effect gives you zero!

For Christians there is something else to consider. The world,
which typically is anti-Christian, is fixated upon a date which
gets it's origin based upon our Lord, Jesus Christ. The "Y2K" or
Year Two-Thousand problem, is about a date which is determined
by the supposed year of Christ's birth. Every time we see the
symbol "Y2K", we realize it is referencing the date 2,000 years
from the birth of Jesus Christ!

Of course the real "Y2K" problem in the world is that in 2,000
years, the majority of the world still refuses to call Him King.
They refuse to acknowledge His Lordship, His Sonship to God and
His right to Rule over us. The real problem is not with computers
being unable to distinguish between one's and zero's, but with
men not being able to distinguish between light and dark. Until
the world calls Him Lord and submits to His Gospel, there will
always be a problem. And all the computer fixes in the world
will not be able to remove sin and it's consequences.

Whether year one or two-thousand, the same Gospel that saved in
the first century, will save today. God has already provided the
"fix" to the problem: Obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  [JW]
