The Ontario United Methodist Church has a strong history of moving forward in faith. On its present site since 1917, the church facility has changed dramatically with the addition of an education wing in 1958, the modern sanctuary in 1968, and the Giffin Hall complex in 1990.

A Visioning Team was established in January 1998, and a Vision Statement was adopted by the church body March 1998. Since that time, significant interior renovations have been completed, and a new building project which will provide additional classroom space is scheduled to be undertaken in the near future.

The church added a contemporary worship service in March of 1999. Current average attendance at that service is 60. Average attendance for the traditional service is an additional 200 weekly. Sunday school attendance averages 90.

The Ontario United Methodist Church is part of the United Methodist East Ohio Conference, and a member of the Mansfield District. The church looks forward to continuing to be a faithful and active presence in all that God is blessing in our community and in the world.
