Ohio State Backgammon Championships
This ABT (American Backgammon Tour) Sanctioned event will be held on April 11th-13th, 2008.
If you would like to get an entry form. Or more information on this upcoming tournament. Please send e-mail to osbc@neo.rr.com and you will receive a response as soon as possible. The tournament will be held at the Cleveland Marriott Airport, 4277 West 150th street, Cleveland, Ohio 44135.
The hotel is only three miles from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. Complimentary Airport Transportation & Shuttle service within a five mile radius of hotel.
The Hotel Accommodations: Single & Double Rooms will be only $89.00 + tax.

Tournament Schedule Friday, April 11th, 2008 12:45PM—-Registration Opens. 2:00PM----Early rounds of Ohio Masters & Amateur Jackpot. ** Only if pre-registration fills a field of eight. **
Any Players, who wish to play in the 7:30 Doubles event, cannot play in the later rounds of the Ohio Masters & Amateur Jackpot. They must play only in the early rounds to be free to play in the 7:30 Doubles event.
3:00PM----Blitzes & Quickies start. 7:00PM---Late rounds of Ohio Masters start. 7:30PM---Late rounds of Amateur Jackpot start. 7:30PM— Doubles event starts. Saturday, April 12th, 2008 9:00AM--Registration Opens. 10:00AM--Registration closes. 10:00AM-- Lecture by Phil Simborg: Basic Tournament Strategy for Intermediate Players. 11:00AM--Calcutta Auction with Auctioneer, Phil Simborg. During the Calcutta auction, Qualifying Pitt-Ohio ABT event players must be present. Everyone who has played in the March 2008 Pittsburgh ABT event will be entered into a special drawing. Only two names will be chosen. One will receive: $100.00 and a refund of their 2008 Pittsburgh Backgammon entry fee. The other will receive: $100.00 and a refund of their 2008 OSBC entry fee. 12:30PM--Play begins: all divisions.*************** 5:00PM--2-hr dinner break. 7:00PM--Play resumes in all divisions, including all Micro Blitz events. Sunday, April 13th, 2008 11:00AM--Play resumes in all divisions. 2:00PM--Finals in all divisions. (approx.) |
