Launch Date: Saturday, September 25, 1999, ~3:00 pm
Event: MTMA Launch No. 4
Launch Location: Summit County Fairgrounds, Tallmadge, Ohio
Weather: Sunny, 75 degrees F, East wind calm-5 mph
Map of Launch Site:
Flight Notes: Launched on an Aerotech F50-4T. This
flight arced east into the light breeze. The rocket rolled over and most of the ascent
pictures are of the clear blue sky. Ejection occurred just past apogee, the recovery
systems on the payload bay and booster deployed fully, and they both drifted right back to
the range. I tried to catch the camera payload section but missed. It landed on a narrow
gravel road causing minor, but fixable damage to the payload section's body tube at the
location of the nose cone retaining screw.
At this time, only low-resolution images are available.
Additional resolutions and exposures will be added below as time and server space allow.
