The "Free" Stamp sculpture was created by the famous pop-artist Claes Oldenburg. Oldenburg's sculptures can be found all over the United States, and have been featured in numerous prominant museums.
The 24 ft. steel sculpture was created in 1991 for the BP (then Sohio) office tower. BP wasn't too keen of it, so it was ironically placed outside Cleveland City Hall. A FREE stamp for government? yeah, right!
