ENTRY #249 Beverly Adams Knoxville, Tennessee USA 29 September 2000 12:12:56Visited the lighthouse in September and was delighted to see the fossils that remain in the rock formations. Something should be done to preserve these formations for future generations to see and some information printed on the pamphlets about them. I noticed some fossils were being dug up at various places. ENTRY #248 Debbie Smith Ten Mile, Tennessee USA 25 September 2000 22:03:21Simply beautiful!! ENTRY #243 Shirley Boudreaux Portland, Indiana USA 10 September 2000 16:29:08I enjoyed your Lighthouse pictures a great deal. They were much better then mine when I visited some of the lighthouses in June of this year. Since I am unable to get to most of them, this is the next best thing. ENTRY #238 Wesley Craft Hartwell, Georgia USA 02 September 2000 14:09:48Great pics of the lighthouses. My wife and I greatly appreciate people like yourself, making it possible for others to enjoy the beauty without leaving home. ENTRY #237 William Hoffman West Covina, California USA 31 August 2000 04:06:22Hi! Really like your site. I came upon it while looking for someone who might be an source of information on an old-time photographer in Sand Beach: Peter Tschirhart. He took a number of photos of my forbears who lived in Oxford County, Ontario. Many times collections of negatives, plates, etc. of photographers end up in archives of one kind or another. I'm hoping that this is true of his work and that I might one day find it. None of the photos I have is dated, but they were late 19th, early 20th century. ENTRY #236 Tonya (from Rite Aid) Norton, Ohio USA 30 August 2000 22:06:52Thanks Rod, this is really great and I will enjoy this a lot. See ya later. ENTRY #235 Beverly J. White Phoenix, Arizona USA 28 August 2000 21:47:32This is a fairly new interest for me, I've lived in Arizona since 1960. You don't see many lighthouses in the desert! However I did live in Racine, Wisconsin (1 block away from Lake Michigan) until I was 10 years old. I don't remember seeing any lighthouses, just the sound of the fog horns. I find these works of art very intriging, most mystical. ENTRY #234 Krukowski Family Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA 25 August 2000 21:42:06We visited in August of 2000. It is a beautiful site! ENTRY #215 Leeanna Thomas Winter Haven, Florida USA 14 July 2000 13:49:51The lighthouses were magnificent!! ENTRY #214 Donald H. Ward Pownal, Maine USA 12 July 2000 16:33:08You have a very good assortment of Lights, and hope you continue to increase the gallery. While serving in the USCGR during WWII, I was stationed on board the LV116 (Chesapeake Lightship) 11/1944 as a SM/3C. She was anchored in Cape Cod Bay, Sandwhich (Cape Cod), Mass. At the Cape Cod Canal entrance. I was also stationed at Two Lights Cape Elizabeth, at the entrance to Casco Bay, working out of Portland Harbor on a 63 footer. My time was during the peek of WWII when shipping was very dangerous and lots of UBoats off shore in the area. My wife's Father was a keeper at Spring Point Ledge Light, which is the entrance light just inside of Portland Head approach. He was there from 1914 thru 1916, then became a Fireman aboard the Portland Fire Boat. I will continue to bring your page up, and view as often as I can. Thanks to people like you that makes this a beautiful world. ENTRY #213 Ron Rudat Attleboro, Masachusetts USA 06 July 2000 21:53:20Loved your lighthouses, would love to do some paintings based on these. Recently went to Cape Cod light, Chatham. and Nauset light. ENTRY #212 James S. & Gwen V. Snider Cloverdale, Indiana USA 28 June 2000 19:05:32Thank you so much for the permission to use the picture of Michigan City Lighthouse. It meant so very much to me. I sat on that pier at 8 years old and I've been back many times since to just see the Lighthouse and feel those magical moments once again. Thank you, oh so very much for bringing my childhood back into view. ENTRY #211 Amit Arora New Delhi India 26 June 2000 02:03:07I was going through your site the other day. ENTRY #206 Tara Gallagher Altoona, Pennsylvania USA 15 June 2000 08:27:42Rod, Love the Photo's! As I am an old resident of Michigan. ENTRY #205 Chris Wells Danville, Illinois USA 13 June 2000 20:38:06I love your site! Your photos and info on the lighthouses are terrific. I originally went to your site to find a picture of the old Cape Henry Lighthouse, but alas, you have no pictures yet. I suggest a vacation to Virginia this year.....Ha! Ha! I just painted the old Cape Henry light from an old photo I found and had to use my imagination as to the landscape around it. That is the reason I was hoping that you had a shot of it. Thank you for a truly beautiful gallery. I'll keep coming back! ENTRY #204 Carolyn Kleifgen Wisconsin USA 11 June 2000 10:02:52Just wanted to let you know; I came across your page while doing a general search for Cape Cod Lighthouses. I'm so impressed!
