ENTRY #298 Tom Simonsen Dover, Delaware USA 15 April 2001 22:03:21As a young Coast Guardsman, I was stationed in Saugerties, NY with the US Coast Guard at their Light Attendant Station in Turkey Point. After the Saugerties, Kingston & Esopus Meadows light houses were closed, it was one of my duties to help maintain them. I loved that job. ENTRY #297 Nancy S. Gulick Cincinnati, Ohio USA 14 March 2001 15:34:09I found your site as a link from The Great Lakes Historical Society site. Your photos are great. I have a wonderful winter photo of the South Haven, Michigan lighthouse with typical windblown ice covering it. I hope you can include one like that. I'm from S. Haven and have seen that lighthouse in all kinds of weather. Glad that they haven't torn it down. Good luck!
