Rod, I love your photos of the lighthouses. I am particularly interested in the Hyannis Inner Harbor one located on Cade Cod, MA. I would like to get your permission to make a copy of it and use as a guide for a picture I am burning on a switch plate for my daughter in law who lives in Plymouth, MA.

I was reminiscing over my childhood and where my Dad used to take us fishing. One of the most memorable places was Maroon Lake beneath the Maroon Bells. I was 10 or 12 at the time. On a whim I did a web search on "Maroon Bells" and landed on your site. It was 1959 and I caught a ton of trout on that landslide in your photo. Thanks for the Memories.

We just finished touring lighthouses of Delmarva and got some great pictures of 7 of them: Assateague Island, Fenwick Island, Harbor of Refuge, Hooper Strait, and three by John Donohoo: Turkey Pt, Concord Pt, and Piney Point (in southern MD). Your lighthouse pictures are wonderful! Loved the pictures from the two at the Baltimore Harbor. I will bookmark your site and come back to see more as soon as I can. Thanks!

When I looked at your cityscapes and found New York, I wondered how you would handle the WTC photo. Your words added above the photo do justice to both the Towers and your sense of loss. Keep the photo displayed......we need to remember. Canada stands with you!

I lived as a kid in the shadow of the back lighthouse south of New Castle, De. We used to swim on the small beach at the lighthouse on the river where a family by the name of Cross lived. When I was on vacation on Sept/Oct 2001, the lighthouse next to where I lived had been torn down. I wasn't able to go down to the river to see if the other house was there. I know of several other lighthouses on the Delaware River and Bay but they are gone also.

Wish you could come over to my land of lush greenery, the varied flora and fauna, furious lap of waves mixed with the coolness of hills, and rivers & springs!!! Looking forward to see more additions in your 'pet' division. I will be stopping by to watch your site grow....

It is over a month since the tragedy that befell those beautiful towers. I like you, am having a hard time believing they are gone. I've been to the top also, and think your original words are perfect. Don't change them. Possibly add, but don't change them. Your excitement comes through in your words, and I think people need to know that. To remember, not just the tragedy, but the marvel that those towers were.

Mr. Watson, I happened upon your site as I was looking for information on Rhode Island for my 8 year old daughter. I wanted to find some pictures that helped give a feel for what Rhode Island is and the character of the State. I hope you don't mind, but I found your pictures so wonderful that I printed a few for my daughter to take to school. I left your name and credits on each photo. I am sorry to say our printer does not do them justice, but the kids will be more than happy with them. Thanks for bringing joy into a dreary Michigan day.

The Land Lighthouse in Erie, Pa. that you pictured is beautiful. I lived on Lighthouse St. for about 15 years. Thank you for keeping a memory alive in such a nice way. We woke up to the sound of the fog horn in the channel, and often sat by this lighthouse during the war years, just praying for peace in the world. I was only a teenager then, but your picture makes me one again. Thank you.

It's crazy that I didn't even think about how awesome these towers (WTC) were till they were gone. It is great to see pictures, or a web page that saw their beauty a long time ago. I see that many appreciate this page including me. Thank you!
