Gorgeous site and photos! I was wondering if I could get your permission to use some of the photos on a site I am creating for my mother-in-law's business. She runs a tour bus business throughout the U.S.

My sister lived on this lighthouse. I don't know the year, but it was probably the late 50's, or early 60's. Her husband was assigned there in the Coast Guard. I was there many times as a child.

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your beautiful tour of the New York Lights. We were planning a tour this past summer, but were unable to go because of an auto accident. I hope we are able to go when I'm out of therapy. Your pictures make me want to go even more. I don't think I had seen a picture of the Kingston-Rondout Light before. Thanks for the beautiful tour, and thank Heaven for the computers at this time.

BOTH THE PHOTOGRAPHS AND THE WEB SITE HAVE BEEN CREATED TO THE HIGHEST PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS. IT IS A GREAT PITY THAT ONLY A LIMITED NUMBER OF YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR ENLARGEMENT. THE PHOTOGRAPH OF THE MAROON BELLS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND I WOULD LOVE TO OBTAIN A 16X20 ENLARGEMENT....IS THERE ANY CHANCE THAT THIS MASTERPIECE CAN BE MADE AVAILABLE?

My name is Kira Schroeder, I live in Costa Rica and I love lighthouses. I was searching for good pictures to hang in my apartment's bathroom that has little lighthouses as decoration. Is there a way that I could use some of your pictures to print and frame? I congratulate you on your beautiful pictures.

I surfed onto your photo site from a webring. Outstanding site and photos! I'll be back to see more because there were too many to check out on one visit. The storm over the keys was inspiring. That stuck out for some reason. I also enjoyed your many pics of lighthouses. They always make a great subject, don't they? I was particularly interested in your photo of the Kingston-Roundout lighthouse. I grew up there. In fact, I finally took a picture of it this summer and will post it soon on my own site.

Rod, thank you for the memories! I found your web site accidently, and sure am glad I stayed! I was born and raised in Vermilion, Ohio, and have enjoyed most of the lighthouses you have featured here. I can remember picnicing on the rocks at the base of Marblehead Lighthouse with my children, rolling down the lush green grass in front of the Maritime Museum, and playing on the propeller in front of the new lighthouse in Vermilion. My favorite was always the Lorain Lighthouse, way out there in the water...what a beautiful sight to see with the sun setting behind it. Again, I thank you. I miss the Great Lakes area, and hope to live back there again some day.

My grandfather, Wallace Pierce, married my grandmother, Ruth Hanna while keeper at Rockland Breakwater. I just read Edward Pierce was keeper at Marshall Point Lighthouse, from 1923 to 1933. I know that Edward retired from lighthouse duty. I would like to know if this Edward is my grandfather's brother.
