West Quoddy Head Lighthouse is located at the easternmost part of the United States. The first lighthouse at Quoddy Head was built in 1808, and rebuilt in 1853.
Because of the poor condition of the light, it was rebuilt again 5 years later in the form of today's light. The 3rd Order Fresnel lens was automated in 1988.
