North to previous  Thatchers Island South to next light Gloucester Eastern Point Lighthouse sits on a rocky promontory guarding the mouth of Gloucester Harbor. A smaller light is perched at the end of the breakwater, extending from the property's edge. The access road to the station takes you through an exclusive neighborhood. The road is a public right-of-way to the light. Even though private signs are posted, the guard must let you pass by.
