Long Point
Race Point is the northern most of the 3 Provincetown lights. It occupies the furthest northwest corner of the entire cape. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is the best way to access it.
Today's light was built in 1876, replacing the original rubble tower from 1816. The keepers house was built in 1863. I took this photo while aboard our 2nd whale watching cruise.
