Michigan East
The original Point Iroquois Light was built in 1857. With a growth of personnel over the subsequent years, a brand new larger station had to be built in 1870, and then enlarged in the early 1900s.
The lighthouse stood guard over one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world, the Soo Locks and the St. Mary's River. The beacon was extinguished in 1962, and is now a wonderful museum.
