South to previous North Manitou		North to next light Old Mission Point
Grand Traverse (Cat's Head Point) Light was built in 1853 to mark the entrance of Grand Traverse Bay. The present light was built in 1858, featuring a 4th order Fresnel lens.		A large brick fog signal building & smaller oil house was added in 1899. The light is now a museum, and the tower is open for climbing. A metal light tower was built nearby in 1972.
