| Absecon Light was completed in 1856. The 169 ft tall brick tower is the 3rd tallest in the US. The lantern still houses the original Sautter 1st Order Fresnel lens. |
The light has been abandoned & decaying since 1933, but recent preservation associations have received ~2.5 million dollars for it's complete restoration. |
