Delaware Lights
East Point Lighthouse was built in 1849 along the mouth of the Maurice River. The light is the 2nd oldest in New Jersey, and the last existing Jersey light on the shores of the Delaware Bay.
The light was extinguished in 1941, and suffered from deterioration and vandalism until 1970. Restoration began in the mid '70s, and is once again a beautiful active aid to navigation.
