Barnegat

Sea Girt Lighthouse was built in 1896. Sea Girt was one of the three lights/lightships which first utilized a radio beacon system for navigational triangulation in 1922.
The light was discontinued in 1945, and was later used as a library and local meeting place. In 1980, a 3 stage restoration of the structure was begun.
