Grand Island

The South Buffalo Light and fog signal building was constructed in 1903, and automated in 1935. The lighthouse featured a 4th Order Fresnel lens, but was later changed to a 300mm.
The light marks the southern approach into Buffalo Harbor. Industrial properties make it difficult to visit the light up close, as was the case with my distant and blurred photo.
