North to previous Kingston Rondout East to Maine North Maine Lights Nicknamed The Maid of the Meadow, Esopus Meadows Light is located in the middle of the Hudson River off of Ulster Park. The light was completed in 1871, & always had a live-in keeper. We viewed the light early in the morning from Lighthouse Park along the west bank. The morning fog had not lifted, creating a peaceful and surreal landscape. An enjoyable experience.
