Marblehead Light
Located on the Southwest corner of the island, the lighthouse is passed by many tourists daily aboard the ferry shuttles to Put-In-Bay Island during the summer. The light is owned by Ohio State University as a research complex and is not open to the public for touring. The Marblehead and Old Port Clinton Lights are also located within a short drive of the ferry docks at Port Clinton and Lakeside.
South Bass Island is located a couple miles offshore from Sandusky Bay & Port Clinton. Other attractions in the area include the Captain Perry Monument at South Bass Island (an elevator ride to the top provides an excellent view), the Cedar Point Amusement Park (a rollercoaster enthusiast's heaven), the Lonz Winery on Middle Bass Island, and some of the best Walleye fishing in the US.
