Toledo Harbor Light is a beautiful Romanesque structure located 8 miles from the nearest shore. The 3-story brick station rests on a massive concrete and stone crib. The light is still an active aid.
The light was built in 1904 when a long channel was dredged from the lake to the Maumee River, which opened up Toledo to the commerce of the deepwater freighters. It is also a haunted light!
