Watch Hill Lighthouse was built in 1856, replacing the original wooden light from 1808. The tower and keeper's quarters are similar in design to Beavertail Lighthouse.
It is necessary to pass through a private neighborhood to reach the lighthouse. During the summer when residents are home, visitors must park in town and walk to the light.
