The first Rawley Point Light was constructed in 1853. The top section of the original wooden tower survives today as the Two Rivers Light, located in downtown Two Rivers. In 1873, a new masonry lighthouse and keeper's quarters were built to replace the original. The second tower no longer exists, but the keeper's quarters still remain. The quarters are presently used as Coast Guard residences, and are not open to the public.

The present day iron tower is a reconstructed light originally located on the Chicago River. It was moved to it's new location and enlarged in 1894. The lantern room & upper watch room are from the Chicago light. The 111 ft. octagonal tower originally housed a 3rd Order Fresnel lens, but now features a 3 foot diameter airport beacon. The station is adjacent to Point Beach State Forest & Park, along the Lake Michigan shore.
