Aspen, Co ~ Rocky Mountains (Elk Range) ~ June 9, 1994

East to next vista Baldy Mountain
Sievers Mountain is located within the Maroon Bells-Snowmass wilderness area, adjacent to the trails along Maroon Creek. The Elk Range is notorious for avalanches, and Sievers has had it's share.
The trails wind in and out of a beautiful Aspen forest, and along the trickeling stream. Following the trails a bit further on would lead to Crater Lake and the base camp area of the famous Maroon Bells.
