This photograph is one of a few college years' black & white shots that still exist. During one of our Architecture classes, we had to snap shots of historic buildings in black & white for the purpose of studying light and shadow. This was an experimental practice shot from home with the B&W film. I never took the time to learn black & white photography well, although I really should have.

"Buzzard" was a neat parakeet. I remember walking over to the kitchen sink to turn on the faucet, and she would quickly fly over to my shoulder. She would quickly run down my arm and into my cupped hands to take a bath in the "waterfall". She would then run back up to my shoulder, shake off her feathers, and back down for another dip. It was very comical to watch her, and she loved doing it.
