things-that-squeak: our other furry family members

Cats, dogs, rats, mice, Syrian & Campbell's dwarf hammies, spiney mice... That covers most of the living creatures in our family.

Marky is the oldest manfur in our home, born either 1989 or 1991. He is a purebred Norwegian Forest Cat, no papers, he has a heart murmur. Mandy is the blue-eyed tux, the oldest girlfur, rescued from a pet store where she was frightened of everything. Buster is the protector of the house. He rushes to any crying kitty in the house.

Isabel is granddaughter to the greatest cat ever, may he rest in peace. We drove all the way through Pennsylvania to get Molly Turtlepoint our #10 kitty. Reese is our #12 kitty. Named for a package of Reese's Pieces that was eaten while daydreaming of her the day she was adopted into our family.

Rescue is lucky #13 kitty. We rescued her at 3wks old and nursed her to the beautiful little girl you see here. Cymon the one-eyed kitty has a problem with food, having a severe eye infection and no food as a small kitten. Our little Bear is almost 1yr old in this pic. Her eyes aren't really purple. That's some freaky camera trick like "red-eye." Her eyes are common orange-yellow kitty color. She was born with no tail (her daddy was also tailless). She actually has a little bitty nub. She is the 8th member of our feline family.

The ninth addition to our feline family, Oct. 1, 2001, at about 3mos old is Tabitha Moon. Her eyes are sand-colored. She looks so sad in this pic, guess she misses her brothers. Well, now she has lots of brothers, sisters, mommy, daddy, and love! Center is Tabitha Moon all grown up at 1 1/2yrs. old.

Thomas Oen is kitty #11. This pic was taken Aug, 2002. He is about 6-8mos here. He was a stray outside that we took in. He is a bit semi-feral still, but LOVES to be pet and purrs and purrs.

These two littermates are Randolph on the left & Lindsey on the right. We raised them from approximately 3wks of age. They are the last additions to our feline family.

These are our muppies. Dizzy Gillespie is the Dobie mix on the far left. He was found trying to merge into highway traffic trotting his happy self right up the on-ramp! Count Basie (black with a little white) & Duke Ellington (far right) are littermates. They are German Shepherd/Retriever/Chow mixes that were found wandering the neighborhood and turned out to actually be "adopted" pups from a litter down the street. Guess the "adoptive family" decided they didn't need to keep the pups anymore and let them roam free to find a new home. The little white one with a black head is Louis (Armstrong or Prima) a Parson (Jack) Russell Terrier.
