Instructions for updating the DX4WIN.AWD file.

 1). Be sure that DX4WIN is not running.
 2). Find the directory DX4Wnnn/SAVE, where nnn is the current
     version of DX4WIN that you are running.
 3). BACKUP, either:
     a. the complete SAVE directory, or
     b. the DX4WIN.AWD file.
 4). Find the file DX4WIN.AWD and rename it to DX4WIN.AWD.TXT,
     this will allow a text editor to work with it.
 5). Open up DX4WIN.AWD.TXT using your favorite text editor.
 6). Seach for the award that you want to update or add.
     For example if you are looking for the Amateur Radio
     Lighthouse Society award part, search for "Amateur Radio 
     Lighthouse Society" or some part of that string.
 7). Once you find it delete all the lines for that award,  
     then insert the replacement lines there, or 
     better yet add the new file at the very end.
     Or, if you didn't find it, scroll to the end of the 
     DX4WIN.AWD.TXT file and add it there.
 8). Save your changes.
 9). Rename the DX4WIN.AWD.TXT file to DX4WIN.AWD
10). Restart DX4WIN.

HINT: 1. I keep a copy of the DX4WIN.AWD file, minus the ARLHS,
         CISA, IOSA, USI, and WLA awards.  Then when I update anyone
         of the awards, I just append all of them to the
         end of this version.  Save it under a different name and
         copy it to the DX4Wnnn/SAVE directory and do the file
         renames, so that this one ends up as DX4WIN.AWD and the 
         old DX4WIN.AWD file ends up as DX4WIN.AWD.OLD.
      2. When Guy (ON4AOI) releases a new version of the offical
         DX4WIN.AWD file, I remove these awards from it and
         then append them to the end of the new file.
